Larry Allen Frear

1947 ~ 2018
Larry Allen Frear, known as Husband, Dad, Father, Hero, Pal, Papa Lars, and Friend passed peacefully Sunday Jan. 21, 2018. He was 70 years old.
Born on Sept. 4,1947 to Lawrence and Verdonna Frear, Larry was raised with his sister, Diann McDonald in Sandy, UT. Larry had traveled extensively, been to many places, met many people, and had nothing to fear. He was very proud of his family, his accomplishments, and his love for life.

Larry joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War at age 19 for two years. Larry loved to fly airplanes. He became a commercial pilot, but he often flew for pleasure as well. Later in life he collected personal adventure avionic aircrafts. He often enjoyed showing his antique cars. He was a man of many traits, known as Mr. Fix It. He was a crafted contractor. Larry was a talented piano player and guitarist, who could simply pick up any note by ear. He was a dynamic skier and passed on his skill to his daughters. He loved to fish and camp in the mountains, often in Christmas Meadows with his family. He loved to travel the World, especially to Hawaii, his favorite place. He was a gourmet cook, and was often found grilling steaks and lobster. He was a man of many words that were often positive, funny, and personal. Larry never met a stranger. His smile was contagious. Larry's loved ones are sure he is enjoying his quality of life in Paradise Heaven.

Larry is survived by his wife, Joi Frear; three daughters, Danielle Stewart, Nicole Frear, and Noelle Frear Green, more commonly known as his "Sweethearts"; his son Taylor Frear; his two step daughters, Erin Ive and Macael Ive; and five beautiful grandchildren, Ethan Stewart, Bryce Stewart, Kaitlin Stewart, Austin Allen Green, and Anna May Green and his sister Diann McDonald.
