David Allen Newman, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2013, in Long Beach, California. He was born to the late William and Virginia Newman, June 11, 1948, in Long Beach, California. David is survived by his daughter, Jodi Cordone; grandchildren, Sophia and Gabriella Cordone; brothers, Marty Newman and Bruce Newman; and sister, Sharon Johnson. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1966 and California State University, Long Beach, in 1974. David also received a JD degree from Western State University College of Law in 1980. Dave made me laugh, uncontrollably! I feel fortunate to have renewed my friendship and relationship with him in 2012. He was a good friend to so many of us who grew up in Long Beach and attended LB Jordan HS. I miss him greatly. Love to all, Pam Flippin
