Eleanor Ramirez Padilla
87, passed away on January 2, 2013 at St. Bernadine's Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of San Bernardino, and worked as an assistant kitchen preparer at the Antler's Hotel in San Bernardino, and became a homemaker following her marriage.
She was preceded in death by her brother Timoteo, Refugio, Daniel, Manuel and sister Jeannie that passed away at birth. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 50 years, Vincent Padilla, Sr., and sister Mary Trujillo (Robert). Also surviving her are her children Vincent Padilla, Jr. (Valerie), son John Padilla and many foster children.
Eleanor was proud grandmother of Vincent Padilla III and Katie Padilla, along with great granddaughter Zethra Esperanza, and 19 nephews and nieces.
She was a lifelong parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church in San Bernardino and a volunteer and singer in the choir.
A visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013, 4-7 p.m. at Mt. View Mortuary, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at St. Adelaide Catholic Church, 27457 Baseline, Highland, California.
