Kathryn Kay Miner

Kathryn Kay Miner
On Nov. 6, 2012, the Lord in tender love and mercy took our beloved wife, mother, nana, great nana, and sister to His heavenly home. She was born on Feb. 23, 1934 in Clarinda, IA.
She moved to CA in 1968 and starting in the early 70's, owned and operated Magic Years School. She touched the lives of many pre-school and elementary age students. Nothing lit up Kate's face like the sight and sounds of children. She was a member of Community Cross Church of the Nazarene and for many years a member of Del Rosa United Methodist Church.
Kate is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert E. Miner Sr., her son Pastor Robert E. Miner Jr. (Lyn) Highland, CA, her daughter Leanne Ulmer (Barb Clark) of Wadsworth, IL, sisters Violet Elliott, Bette Tatum and brother Jack Holbrook (Nora), 7 grandkids Cherrie Lonkar (Brian), Devin Parrish (Dave), Chris Vierra (Jordan), Matthew Ulmer (Kara), Rozalyn, Elizabeth and Bobby Miner, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held this Saturday, Nov. 10th at 11am at the Community Cross Church of the Nazarene (6955 Palm Ave., Highland, CA 92346) with lunch to follow.
