Anne Forve Neville Obituary
Anne Forve Neville
February 4, 1930 – January 16, 2018

Anne died with grace and surrounded by people who loved her at the Huntington Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She grew up in Pasadena, living across the street from her Dakin grandparents. Anne attended Mayfield Junior School and graduated from Westridge School for Girls, maintaining lifelong friendships with her classmates from both schools. After attending Scripps College, she left for adventures a home and abroad, including time in Wiesbaden and Paris, where she worked as a secretary for the U.S. military and mingled with artists and jazz musicians in her spare time. Returning home, Anne worked in San Francisco and for many years at the Los Angeles World Affairs Council.
Anne and John T. ("Tugger") Neville eloped in 1961, surprising family and friends, spent their honeymoon on a freighter, and were happily married until his death in 2001. Their family was completed by their joyful adoption of their son and daughter, Sam and Kate. Their home was never without at least one dog, and they spent holidays and summers sailing the Channel Islands. Anne was a long-time volunteer at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, and this past year received her 50-year service award from the Diggers Garden Club in Pasadena.

Anne is survived by her two children, Sam Neville (wife Deborah; children Sarah, Mary and John) and Kate Neville (husband Brent Hinson; daughter Ruby) as well as her sister Helen ("Tibby") Forve O'Leary and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to: Arlington Garden, The Pasadena Humane Society, or St. Andrew Church.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena on February 2 at 11:00 am. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena Directors
