June 30, 1939 - December 11, 2018 Anthony A. Gomez, born June 30, 1939. A native of Pasadena, CA. Passed away December 11, 2018, In Omaha, NE. He was Living there to be close to his adult children and grandchildren listed below. He succumbed to his fight with cancer after battling for 20+ years. He is survived by: his Son David A. Gomez (Spouse: Ann Abraham Brooks, Son: Shane D. Gomez); and Daughters: Lauri D. Abrahamsen (Sons: Thomas C. Abrahamsen, Michael M. Abrahamsen, Christiian G. Abrahamsen); Tamara C. Welch (Son: James B. Welch); Sarah M. Ullsperger (Spouse: David J. Ullsperger, Son: Graham A. Ullsperger, Daughter: Caroline E.G. Ullsperger). His wife, Carol D. Gomez and Grandson, Nicholas W. Welch preceded him in death. He is also survived by his Brother, Reuben P. Gomez and Sister, Elizabeth J. Corey. He was born into the Guerrero and Gomez families also of Southern California. Tony's parents were born there as well. Tony had served in the US Air Force and Air National Guard. Serving as a crew chief in charge of maintenance of a jet fighter aircraft as his responsibility. Tony enjoyed and participated in motorcycle racing and riding for pleasure. He also took instructions learning how to fly aircraft in pursuit of pilot licensing. In addition he was an excellent mechanical engineer and technician as his employment. He was an amazing father, good friend and possessed a great skill in dealing with others around him.
