Harry Paulson Obituary

PAULSON -Harry Murray Paulson, of Glendora, died at home on Wednesday, July 9th, 2003 with his family at his bedside. He was 84. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Harry was born in Oakland, Calif. on July 8th, 1919. Harry lived in Calif. all his life, spending summers with family in Roseville and Hollister, of which he had fo nd memories. He was a graduate of University High in Oakland, and attended both UC Berkeley and UC Davis. During the summers of his college years he worked at Yosemite National family vacations throughout his life. Harry was an Army veteran of WWII, serving as a Second Lieutenant in the South Pacific and later as a Captain with the Army Reserves. He and Barbara Jean Lewis were married in 1959 in Pasadena, CA, and made their home there until moving to Monrovia in 1962 and finally to Glendora in 1975. Harry w as a retired real estate appraiser and had been a member of the Pasadena Board of Realtors and other organizations pertaining to his career for many years. Before retiring at age 82, he received an outstanding service award from Homequity Relocation Services Company. Harry is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Karen (Bill) Bishop and Kathleen (Kevin) Knutson; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death hy his father Harry, his mother Frances, and his half-sister Thelm a. A memorial service will be held at Oakdale Memorial Cemetery and Mortuary in Glendora on Saturday, July 12th at 1:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, an organization whose staff provided loving care, compassion, and support to Harry and his family during his illness and at the time of his passing. an Fellowship in San Gabriel.
