A retired Naval Commanding Officer; Naval Aviator; serving The Korean War, The Cold War, Commanding Officer Air Weapons Group. Civil Air Patrol Officer; Aerospace Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (projects included Mariner, Magellan, Explorer, Galileo, Pioneer, and Viking); ESL Teacher; Barbershop Quartet Singer; Piano player and Father of 5. Cmdr. James is survived by his son James Merton Brayshaw III (Skip), his daughter Ardyce May (Brayshaw) Kehiayan (her daughters Heather May Kehiayan Streed & Lauren May Kehiayan) ; his son Lester Myles Brayshaw (his daughter and three sons, Lyra Grace, Kristian Lester, Shayne James, & Jonathan Myles); his son Clifford Malcolm Brayshaw, and son Kirk Matthew Brayshaw. Interment location and Date: Thursday 10 January 2019 at 1:30pm at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside CA 92518. 951-653-8417.
