Luther Eskijian

ESKIJIAN-MR.Luther Eskijian, died on Saturday April 7, 2007, at the age of 93. Mr. Eskijian was born on November 1, 1913, in the village of Ekiz-Oluk, Syria, just prior to the Armenian Genocide. Mr. Eskijian was a World War II veteran, designing hospitals for the troops as cities were liberated. He is known for outstanding community service, i ncluding the design of many churches, without charge, Rotary, the Armenian Missionary Association of America, and years of service to the Armenian and American communities. His most recent accomplishment was the establishment of the Ararat-Eskijian Museum in Mission Hills, part of the Ararat Home of Los Angeles. Luther's life has been one of faith in Jesus Christ, service, compassion, artistry, business, and very importantly, family. He is survived by his beloved wife Anne of 63 years, daughter Carol Kazan jian, son-in-law, Howard Kazanjian, son Martin Eskijian, daughter-in-law, Effie Eskijian, daughter Nancy Eskijian, and three grandchildren, Peter, Noah and Andrew Kazanjian, and brother John Bennett of Altadena, California. Services will be held for Mr. Eskijian at the Ararat Home of Los Angeles, Sheen Memorial Chapel, 15105 Mission Hills Road, Mission Hills, California, 91345, on Saturday April 14, 2007 at 1:00 pm.
