It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Marvin Lee Anderson on July 6, 2020 and Evelyn June Anderson on December 14, 2020. They were married 69 years. Marvin was born on December 2, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA. He served bravely in WWII in the infantry and was sent to Europe until the end of the war. After the war he earned his BA and teaching credential from UCSB and UCLA, and a master's degree in Education Administration from USC. Evelyn was born June 28, 1929 in Los Angeles, CA. She moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB where she earned her BA and teaching credential. She met Marvin at a fraternity/sorority dance and they married a few years later. They moved to Hopland, CA and had 3 children, Jack, Karen, and Jean. They later moved to Whittier where Marvin worked as an Assistant Principal at La Sierra High School from 1961-1983. Evelyn worked at her church's preschool and eventually became the director. They both retired in 1983 and fully enjoyed their 6 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. We cannot thank enough the staff and care providers at Sunrise Senior Living, La Palma. Our parents taught us many things, but not how to live without them. We will miss them every day.
