Rosemary Turner Dills Obituary
Rosemary Turner Dills, after a long battle with Alzheimers, died at her home with family by her side on August 30th in Pasadena. She was born August 1930 in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Mom married Army Lt. Elmer Dills in her senior year of college. He offered her excitement. In 1953, she gave birth to Rosemary, and two weeks later she packed up everything, including the cats, and followed him to his new job in Berlin. Several years later Cynthia and then Michael were born there. They then returned to Washington DC for a time before Elmer was reposted to Athens, Greece. Very soon, Peter was born and that completed the family. After 5 years there and a short stop in Washington DC, they moved to Pasadena. She did what the other wives did, picked up her family and moved to the next posting. She had a very dry wit and was a voracious reader until her eyes failed her. She is survived by her four children, Rosemary Miller (Rod), Cynthia , Michael (Maria), and Peter, her grandchildren, Scott Miller, Katherine (Katie) McPherson (Shawn), Lauren Dills, and Matthew Dills. In addition, great-grandchildren, Olivia Kate McPherson and Calum Joseph McPherson In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal rescue group, she was always surrounded by cats.Arrangements handled by Cabot and Sons. Please sign the guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/pasadenastarnews.
