RUMFORD - Joint Obituary for Dan Stephen Dailey, 69, and Lynn Marie (Tootell) Dailey, 61.

Dan Stephen Dailey, 69, of Rumford, RI, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 8, 2021 at HopeHealth Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, RI, four months after the death of the love of his life, his wife, Lynn Marie (Tootell) Dailey, 61. Lynn passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence.

They were married on June 3, 2000.

Dan was born in Pawtucket, RI on March 19, 1952 and was a son of the late Stephen Dailey and the late Joan M. (Feeley) Dailey. A graduate of the former Davies Vocational School, he worked for many years as a technician in the field of fire suppression, before retiring. Dan proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army.

Lynn was born in Pawtucket, RI on February 25, 1959, and was a daughter of the late Kenneth Herbert Tootell and his companion, Freda E. (Keddy) Russell of Mansfield, MA, and Joan Arrighi of Seekonk, MA. She was raised and educated in Pawtucket, RI and was a graduate of William E. Tolman Senior High School.

They moved to Rumford, RI four years ago after having both been lifelong residents of Pawtucket.

Dan was a reserved and private man who enjoyed golfing. Lynn was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family who enjoyed the beach, particularly Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, RI. Together, they treasured spending time with their family, especially with their cherished granddaughter, socializing with friends, and taking trips to the Caribbean.

In addition to Lynn's mother, they leave Lynn's two loving daughters: Lauren E. Carson of Pawtucket, RI and Kristine M. Haubrich and her husband, Dennis Haubrich, of Warwick, RI; and their cherished granddaughter: Kylie Carson of Pawtucket, RI; Dan's siblings: John Donald Dailey of Pawtucket, RI; Sandra Dailey of Florida; Nancy Spaziano and her husband, Tony Spaziano, of Seekonk, MA; and Brian Dailey of Seekonk, MA; and Lynn's siblings: Sandra Ann Bucko of Cumberland, RI and her companion, Thomas "Tom" J. Clary of Manchester, NH; Kenny E. Tootell and his wife, Diane Tootell, of Pawtucket, RI and Kevin W. Tootell of Pawtucket, RI; as well as several of Lynn's aunts, uncles, and cousins; their nieces, nephews, extended family members and many dear friends. Dan was predeceased by his brothers, David Dailey and Wayne Dailey.

With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Joint Memorial Visitation for Dan and Lynn, with Veteran's Honors recognizing Dan's military service, in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon.

Also with strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Joint Memorial Service for Lynn and Dan in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 12:00 Noon.

Graveside Services with military honors will be held for the Dailey's at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
