GRAYDON KEITH BEARDEN Graydon Keith Bearden of Winchester, California, passed away on August 14, 2013. He was born on January 27, 1930 to Silas and Wilray Bearden of Webb City, AR. He graduated from Ozark High School in Ozark, Arkansas in 1947. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952. While in the Army, he was deployed to the Korean Conflict where he was awarded the Bronze medal and a United Nations Assistance Service medal. Graydon worked in the paint department at General Motors Corporation at several assembly plant locations. He retired after 30 years from their Midwest City, OK assembly plant. He was a member of the United Auto Workers International Union. After retiring, he served as President of the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Council of UAW retirees. In addition, he was a member of the San Jacinto and Hemet Masonic Lodges. He was also a member of the Ramona Shrine club, El Bekal Shrine and the Scottish Rite of San Bernardino. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Graydon enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing the High Sierras and planting fruit and vegetable gardens. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Jean McElhaney of Salinas, California and Norma Holladay of Ozark, AR. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Janice R. Bearden; two sons, David of Kingman, Arizona and Keith of Winchester, California; his sister, Janice Morris of Ozark, Arkansas; two grandaughters, Amy Cardenas of Temecula, California and Ashley Bearden of Winchester, California and five nieces. Graydon was a great husband, father and grandpa to his family. He will be missed by his family and friends. As per his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
