WILLIAM BARKER Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. William was born July 11th, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, and passed away on January 15th, 2014, in Wildomar, CA. He was the first of three children. William was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 56 years Patricia Barker. He is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Barker, and Karen and Jim Auck, 4 grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Nicole and Seamus, 3 great grandchildren, Linzee, Devon and Natalee. William proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and is a veteran of the Korean War. He was a dedicated Mason for more than 50 years and most recently served as Secretary at Menifee Valley Lodge. William worked as a lineman, manager, and course developer for Pacific Bell for 30 years. After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps he decided to stay in California where he met his bride to be Patricia while roller skating in Buena Park. They were wed and raised their family in Orange County. After retirement from Pacific Bell he and Patricia moved to Grass Valley, CA where he and brother-in-law George built their dream house in the forest. Soon after they realized they needed to be close to their grandchildren and returned to So. Cal where they settled in Wildomar. A celebration of William's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton.
