Charles Zink

Charles H. Zink Born in Pennsylvania on January 22, 1920, passed away on February 18, 2012 in Riverside, California. Charles is survived by his wife, Mable; daughters, Judi (David), Susan and Lisa; brother, Bob; sisters, Sissy and Isabel; grandchildren, Nicholas, Hollis, Chris and Eric; great-grandchildren and in laws. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; son, David; brothers, Frank, John and George; and grandson, Paul. Charles served overseas as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II and later in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Major. He trained in Riverside County during the war and returned to teach many years at Chemawa Middle School. A visitation will be held on Friday, 2/24/2012 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be the following day on, Saturday, 2/25/2012 at 2:00 p.m., both at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave in Riverside. A private interment will take place at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Charles' name to the First Congregational Church of Riverside, 3504 Mission Inn Avenue or a .
