DIRK ANTHONY VAN VOORHIS, age 83, was called to heaven on May 17, 2014 at home. Dirk was born December 24, 1930 in Los Angeles, California. He had a long career in electronics, but his passion was always aviation. Dirk lived his life being a nice guy to all. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce; daughters, Lindsay (Dave) and Lisa (Joey); son, David (Linda); 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grand-children, and his brother Phil (Carole). Dirk was an active member of the Riverside Free Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 14th at 4 PM at his church located at 8431 Diana Street. Riverside. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riverside Free Methodist Church in his name.
