Allan died peacefully at his home in Banning, CA on August 17, 2017 at the age of 84. Allan is survived by his son Terry Everley and his daughters Roberta Maloney, Denise Israel, and Kim Chapman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne. Al was born in Park City, Utah and raised in Los Angeles. He attended Manual Arts High School and received his BA from Long Beach State. He was in the army for 2 years and was stationed in Fairbanks, AK during the conflict in Korea. For nearly 30 years, Al taught PE and history, coached golf, softball, and volleyball, and mentored students at North Torrance High School and Calle Mayor Middle School. He believed in the power of athletics and sports to build confidence and health in children of all ages. His 41-year marriage to Dianne was filled with travel and sports. During this wonderful time, they played racquetball and golf, bowled, were avid RVers, and cruised the world in their later years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00 am at the Banning United Methodist Church located at 235 N. 2nd Street, Banning, CA 92220.
