ALLYNE HOBGOOD MILAM
Allyne Milam passed away peacefully at Riverside Community Hospital on November 17, 2017 with her son, Lynn Krause, and longtime caregiver, Karen Robinson, at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Milam, and is survived by her son, Lynn Krause, and his wife, Helen, as well as her grandchildren, Andrew Krumm, Gregory Krumm, Lisa Graves, and Julie Murphy. She was one month short of her 96th birthday. She was also preceded in death by her beloved father and mother, Homer Hobgood and Gladys Hobgood, and her sister, Sarah Jo McFadden.
Allyne's deepest passion was her family and friends. Her home was always a warm and inviting place for everyone, family and friends were always welcome. She had an extremely full life traveling as an Air Force wife to Germany, Japan, Hawaii, and living in numerous states, Florida, Alabama, Illinois, Mississippi, Arkansas, both Hamatsu and Tokyo, Japan, Honolulu, Hawaii, Los Angeles and Riverside, California, Tucson, Arizona, and then back to Riverside, California where she remained for the rest of her life.
She was an active member of the Riverside Assistance League and loved being a long-time member of the Victoria Club where she enjoyed spending many hours with her late husband, Jim Milam, family and friends and "The Putters." To anyone who knew her, she was a warm and loving friend who was also truly a Lady in every sense of the word. She lived a full life with a large heart and easy smile, a recipe that served her well.
She will be buried in her hometown of Monette, Arkansas where her late mother and father, sister, and many relatives are interred.
A Celebration of Life party will be held at the Victoria Club in January. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name are requested to her favorite charity Victoria Avenue Forever.
