Amanda Etta Woodie Obituary
AMANDA ETTA WOODIE Age 98, born in Wichita, Kansas to George and Iva Palmer on October 3, 1914 and passed away peacefully on February 4, 2013 in Riverside, CA. She was the 5th out of 9 children and last surviving child. Amanda was raised on a working farm along with her brothers and sisters. As an adult she worked at Boeing Aircraft during World War II. Outside of work she was a foster mother for many years and opened her home to help numerous children with a warm place to sleep, food to eat and lots of love. In her later years she donated her time to helping the elderly at the senior center and worked at the hospital as a volunteer 2-3 times a week. She loved to play cards and was active with her friends at the senior community until her passing. Amanda was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many. She was a very giving, thoughtful and tender hearted woman. She believed in treating people as you would wish to be treated. Her favorite saying was "I Love You and You Take Care Now". Heaven just got a little brighter. She was our Angel On Earth and she will be missed by all. We Love You and you take care now until we meet again.
