Angeline Orozco Obituary
ANGELINE "ANGIE" OROZCO Born Angelina Rita D' Onofrio, January 7, 1921, our mother passed December 12, 2012. Our mom came of age at the height of the Great Depression. We never tired of her stories of Western Pennsylvania, living on grandpa's farm. During WWII, she moved with her family to LA, where the Mediterranean weather suited her Italian parents. It was there that she met our father, known to everyone as Rocky. Our parents began their family in Whittier. Resourceful and positive, our mother met the challenges of raising children and homemaking with selfless courage, putting family above all else. In 1961, we moved to El Cerrito, where she lived for the next fifty years. Through the turmoil of 60s, the uncertainties of the 70s, and beyond, mom was the center of the family and held us together with love and dignity. She is survived by her son, Rodney Orozco; daughter, Laura Archuletta and her husband Michael; son, John Orozco and his wife Tobie; grandchildren, Anthony and Olivia Mia Orozco; and brother Charles Donofrio. We remember her for her kindness, patience and unconditional love. She will live in our hearts.
