Ann Baer "Louise" Barber Obituary
ANN "LOUISE" BAER BARBER 1922-2016 Ann "Louise" Baer Barber, passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was 94 years young. Louise was born on February 5, 1922, in Streator, Illinois, to Edward and Julia Baer. She was the youngest of their 5 children. Louise married William G. "Bud" Barber, and together, over the span of 55 years, they raised 5 daughters: Jill, Jan, Joy, Jenny, and Judy. Louise taught kindergarten at St. Catherine's School from 1959-1962. She then earned her A.A. at Riverside City College and her B.A. at Cal State Fullerton in English Literature in 1971. She retired in 1980 after working as Assistant Librarian at UCR. Louise loved to read classical literature, listen to music, and spend time with her growing family. Her greatest love was reading and studying the Bible. She will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched, and she will long be remembered for her joyful spirit, her tender, loving ways, her sweet and infectious smile, her great sense of humor, and her undying devotion to Jesus. Louise is survived by her 4 daughters, Jan Spinney, Joy Long, Jenny Faust (Steve), Judy Foss (Brian), 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Interment will be privately held at Riverside National Cemetery, where Louise will be reunited forever with her husband, Bud. A Celebration of Louise's Life will be held on the day she would have turned 95, February 5, 2017.
