ARNOLD DEXTER ROBINSON "ROBBIE" "SHORTY' August 1, 1921 August 23, 2013 Raised in Barrington, Rhode Island resided in Riverside/Corona/Norco area for 50 years. In World War II Arnold served as an Aviation Ordnanceman on the USS Ticonderoga from 1942 to 1945. He retired from Southern California Edison Company after 29 years of service as a lineman/splicer, but worked an additional 8 years as a contractor. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, George and Bill: 3 sisters Edna, Hope, Dorothy; and son George. He is survived by his wife and companion of 31 years Cynthia Robinson; 1 sister Priscilla D'Allesandro of Florida; 5 children James (Eileen), Steven (Jane), Carol Riley, Sharon (Rich) Hill, Mary Tromblay (Denny); 2 step-sons, John (Jenny) Shindle, Mark Shindle; 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren. Arnold spent his retirement years traveling in/outside the country, and many Summers in Rhode Island working on his sister's farm. He was also very talented with stain glass, and would spend many hours working in his glass shop. A viewing will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary on Tuesday, August 27th from 6:00pm till 8:00pm. Another viewing will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary on Thursday, August 29th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm followed by a graveside at Crestlawn Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
