Art Krause Obituary
ART KRAUSE Art Krause, beloved husband, father and friend peacefully passed on February 20, 2015. Art was born in Pueblo, CO on December 22, 1923. He moved to San Bernardino, Calif. as a young boy and resided there, graduating from San Bernardino H.S in 1942 with the distinguished Helms All C.I.F. Award for running guard. Art and 11 of his other buddies then joined up with the United States Coast Guard to protect and fight during WWII. Art married his beautiful wife in 1948 and then moved his family to the Lake Arrowhead area (Twin Peaks, Calif.) in 1955 where he retired from the Southern California Edison Co. in 1982 after 36 years as a foreman. Art belonged to the Rim of the World American Legion Post 360. Art has been a 3-year resident in Whitehall where he joined the American Legion Post 24. Art was an outdoorsman and enjoyed years of hunting and fishing. He always enjoyed boating, camping, traveling in their motorhome and recreational gold mining. Art loved and is survived by his wife, Peggy, of 67 years. He is also survived by daughters Ann Krause Palmer and Jayne Krause Dean (Mike); sister Betty Krause Zilm, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Art loved his family, had a wonderful life and the "twinkle in his eye" will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
