AYAKO NORMAN Ayako (nee Nishida) Norman of Oceanside, California, passed quietly in the presence of her family on February 14, 2015, at Palomar Medical Center, Escondido, CA. Born on April 11, 1927, in Fukakusa, Kyoto, Japan, she moved to the United States in 1956 after marrying her late husband, Staff Sergeant (USAF) Robert W. Norman, eventually attaining US citizenship. She is survived by two sons, Robert W. (Nancy) Norman, Jr., of O'Fallon, IL, and John I. (Nanciana) Norman, of San Jacinto, CA, and one daughter, Ann A. (David) Guettler, of San Marcos, CA; four grandchildren, John R. (Melinda) Norman, of San Jacinto, CA, Alan L. (Cassandra) Norman, of San Jacinto, CA, Hilary N. Norman, of Hemet, CA, and Elizabeth P. Norman, of O'Fallon, IL; five great grandchildren; two nieces, Mamiko Okamura and Mariko Hatanaka, of Japan, and nephew Ryo Toyoshima, of Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Masatoshi and Koyoshi Nishida, her brothers, Keiichi and Kazutoshi, her first husband, Robert W. Norman, a son, Alan Lee Norman, and her second husband, Meade B. Norman II. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, at Allen Brothers Mortuary, 435 N. Twin Oaks Valley Drive, San Marcos, CA, from noon to 4 PM. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ASPCA or
