Barbara Jean "BOBBI" Candelaria Obituary
BARBARA JEAN CANDELARIA "BOBBI" "May you sleep in the arms of the Angles" Passed away peacefully with her caring family at her bedside on February 12, 2013. Bobbi was born June 27, 1933 in San Jacinto, CA to Gene Candelaria and Dorothy Miranda. She was the fourth generation granddaughter of Paublo Apis, the Chief of the Temecula Band of Lusieño Indians from the Pechanga Indian Reservation. She retired from the EDD office in Hemet, then worked in the Human Resource Dept. at Pechanga Casino. She was a horsewoman in her youth. In her elder years she held gourd classes in her home. Our mother touched everyone she knew. She was a shining light and dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her brother Gino and her children Theresa, Mitchell, Gina, Dorothy, Dawna and Shawna and Kimberly; 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Rosary to be held at Hartford Chapel, 120 N. Buena Vista, Hemet at 4pm, Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013. Mass to be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 630 S. Sante Fe, San Jacinto, CA at 10am, Mon., Feb. 25. 2013. Burial following at San Jacinto Cemetery with the feed to follow.
