BARBARA JEAN WILLIAMS passed away February 26th, 2015 at Pacifica Senior Living in Riverside, California. Barbara was born October 13, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska to Alva and Clover Redenbaugh. Alva, Clover, Barbara and her brother Kendall moved to Camas, Washington in 1932 where they lived for twenty years. Barbara attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. In 1952, she met and married Robert James Williams, of Corvallis, Oregon. In their first few years they made residence in Vancouver, WA, Portland, OR, and San Jose, CA, then settled in Redondo Beach, California. Bob and Barbara raised four children: Craig Owen Williams (deceased 2012), Marla Jean (Secord), Lisa Marie (Rice), and Douglas Alva. All four children attended Riviera Elementary and South Torrance High schools. Barbara's husband passed away in 1984 and a few years later she moved to Riverside to be closer to her daughters. Barbara was "Grandma Mimi" to eight grandchildren: Craig's sons Brian and Bobby, Marla's children Kelly, Laura and Eric Secord, Lisa's children Mindy (Theiss) and Chris Rice, and Doug's daughter Elisabeth Williams. Barbara was also Great Grandmother "GG Mimi" to Madison and Grant Theiss. Barbara was a member of the order of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron in 1971 for the Hollywood Chapter, with her husband Bob as Worthy Patron. Barbara volunteered at Torrance Memorial Hospital and Riverside Community Hospital accumulating over 2500 hours of service. In 2006, Barbara moved to Olive Grove Independent Senior Living in Riverside, then to Pacifica Senior Living in 2014. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday March 3rd at Rubidoux Mortuary/Kimberly Family Chapel in Riverside.
