Barbara Machado Obituary
Barbara spent 80 years gracing this planet with immeasurable love and light. She was many things in her long life - a daughter, a wife, a dear friend, and a part business owner. She was a dedicated puppy parent to her beloved companion, Charlie. But most of all, she was a mother, sister and grand- mother. It is truly within her family where you'll find her life's greatest legacy in vibrant motion.
Barbara was a lover of dancing, traveling with her sisters, being a member at the Janet Goeske Senior Center, and shopping well beyond the point of dropping. She dedicated herself to building both home and career in equal measure, and she loved being pampered as much as a good day in the garden.
Her passing was preceded by her dear daughter, Julie, and her doting husband, Charles. She is survived by her children - Charles and Jennie Machado, Rick and Leslie Machado, Tracie Rodrigues, Laura and Jeffrey Slater, Gregory Hull, and Victoria and Tom Goldenetz; her grandchildren - Karen and Mike Bruce, Katie Hull, Alice Machado, Sam Machado, Sara and Tanner Boswell, Molly Rodrigues, Gabby Rodrigues, Michael Machado and Amanda Klein, and Jordan Machado and Michael Kim; her great-grandchildren - Charlotte Garcia, and Tessa and Makenzie Boswell; and her sisters - Lois Machado, Sue Bristow, Lucille Christianson, and Adele Machado; as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 27, at St. Andrew's Newman Center in Riverside - a church she helped build (105 W Big Springs Road, Riverside, CA 92507). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center (6165 Industrial Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504 - 951.688.4340).
