Benny T. Guerrero Obituary
August 7, 1954 - August 5, 2017
Age 62, passed away at his home, in Perris, CA. Benny was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. At the age of two, after his father was stationed in Long Beach, CA, he moved with his family to Buena Park, CA where he remained throughout most of his life. After his father passed away, he moved to Perris to care for his parents' property.
Benny's interests included fishing and hunting. Like his parents, he developed a great love for gardening. He enjoyed reading, which was evident in his frequent visits to the library and his large collection of books. He was very knowledgeable on many subjects. His greatest love was spending time with family and friends.
His unique spirit and love for life will be remembered by his surviving brothers Johnny, Joe, Tommy, Peter (Rebecca), Frank (Sandra); sisters Maria Tenorio (Jose), Elizabeth Morris (Jonathan), and Teresa; countless nephews, nieces; many other family and friends. Benny was preceded in death by his loving parents Jesus and Remedios, brother Antonio (Debbie), sisters-in-law Debi (Joe), Kathleen (Tommy) and niece Laura.
Benny was a very simple and kind person. He lived life his way and was true to himself. If you needed help, and he was able, he was there to lend a helping hand. Maybe if more were true to their selves, we could see everyone is unique in their own way and learn to be more accepting of those who don't fit the norm. We will never forget his uniqueness and kindness. He will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Akes Family Funeral home, 9595 Magnolia, Riverside, CA, for immediate family from 10am to 11am, extended family and friends from 11am to 1pm. Following these services, Benny will be laid to rest at 2pm, at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA.
