Beryl Jewel Hartsook came into this world on Oct. 28, 1921 as the third child born to William Harvey and Anna Laura Tarrant. Beryl had five siblings who preceded her in death. They were as follows: Paul Elmer, Pearl Lucile, Moyne Alneita, Cecil Lyle and William Merlin.
Beryl grew up and attended school in the Colorado area. After graduation she became a school teacher also in the Colorado District.
Beryl joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and rose to the rank of Master Sergeant E8. Beryl also served in the Army Reserves while attending the University of Denver in 1950. She retired from military service in October 1981 after serving honorably for 30 years.
In June 1954 Beryl was united in Holy Matrimony to Guy B. Hartsook who also served in the U.S. Army honorably and retired in the rank of Major. They had two children one daughter Laura Lucas (who preceded her in death) remained in Colorado and son Guy Bradley Hartsook.
The family left Colorado and moved to Southern California in 1984 for the warmer weather and resided in San Bernardino and later made Highland their final home.
Beryl leaves to mourn her passing one son Guy Bradley Hartsook of Highland CA. and one grandson Brian Lucas of Denver, CO.; nieces and nephews in various states; a best friend from Denver, Colorado and neighbors and friends in Highland. CA.
