1930 - 2016 Obituary Condolences Gallery
BETTY EVELYN SPAFFORD Betty, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 16, 2016. Betty was born to Dorothy and Fredrick Markwick in Detroit, Michigan on April 8, 1930. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Rolland Spafford of Grand Terrace, California; daughter Krista Lowe and husband, Dave of Indiana; son Geoffrey Martens and wife, Michelle of Las Vegas, Nevada; son William Martens and wife, Bobbi of Mission Viejo, California; and step daughter Betty Joy Martin and husband Mike of New Mexico. Betty was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A devout and loving Christian, she would often speak to others about the love of Jesus Christ and His power of forgiveness and healing. She would speak to strangers at a Dr. visit, at the store or anywhere she felt the Spirit led her. Betty was ultimately and completely restored and is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Betty was a friend and follower of Dr. Bill since 1962 until her passing. A lover of music, she played guitar and piano and sang beautiful melodies with her husband Rolland and her family. Having taught her children and grandchildren the love of music, she leaves that legacy to this day. Betty Spafford and husband Rolland have lived the last 31 years of happy retirement in Grand Terrance, CA. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
