Beverly June Eicholtz Obituary
BEVERLY JUNE EICHOLTZ July 30, 1932-March 21, 2015 "I'd Like to Leave an Afterglow of Smiles When Life is Done" Beverly, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away in the presence of her husband and daughter on March 21, 2015 at the age of 82. When notified of her passing, her many friends at Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning, where Beverly lived for the past 27 years with her husband Robert, were consistent in saying that they would miss her beautiful blue eyes, constant smile, fun approach to life and sharp Irish wit. Born Juanita June Sheets in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Beverly was eventually adopted and re-christened Beverly June Everett. Beverly lived with her new family in Park Ridge, Illinois during her young life, later moving to Tucson, Arizona where she attended high school. Beverly was intelligent and talented and excelled at everything she attempted, which included opera, ballet, sewing, painting, writing, community theatre and piano. In 1950, Beverly married Robert, the love of her life for over 64 years. The couple eventually moved from Tucson to Whittier, California where Robert became a high school principal and Beverly raised their family of five children, graded literature papers for the local junior college and immersed herself in family activities and community groups. When her children became more independent, Beverly took a part-time clerical position at the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) in Whittier, a company that dictates building codes for the United States as well as other countries. Beverly quickly rose to the rank of managing editor of ICBO and retired as a vice president of the firm. Upon retiring, Beverly and her husband moved to Sun Lakes Country Club, where they made life-long friends and, in keeping with their zest for life, adventure and fun, engaged in all that Sun Lakes had to offer, including numerous activities, clubs and RV excursions. Beverly is survived by her husband Robert; her children Gregg (Anna), Glenn (Helen) and Linda Eicholtz; her daughter Pamela (Victor) Costanza, and grandchildren Annalise Lalaguna (Troy), and Erin and Madaleine Eicholtz (she was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Diana). Beverly's family would like to thank Maria Ogaard of Absolute Desert Care for her loving and dedicated care of our mother for the last 5 months of her life. A celebration of life champagne brunch in honor of Beverly will be held Sunday, May 3rd at the north club house at Sun Lakes Country Club between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. All friends are welcome. Donations may be made to the National or Childhelp USA, Beaumont California.
