BRUCE A. BAILLIE, 68, of Crystal Lake, Illinois died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Riverside, California to Edgar and the late Charlotte (Jackson) Baillie. Bruce worked for over twenty years in the building trades as a contractor, supervisor, and foreman on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. After receiving his Diploma/ Certification in AutoCAD from M.T.I. College he worked in Arizona as an AutoCAD draftsman designing mainly residential structures. After moving to Crystal Lake in 1995, Bruce worked in inside sales at House of Metals in Cary, Illinois and later he was employed for several years at Home Depot in Crystal Lake. He loved the outdoors. He was an avid and very accomplished fisherman who loved being on the water, be it the ocean, a mountain lake, and even in the California desert. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-eight years, Elizabeth (Haak); his daughter Mary and her fianc‚ William Dycha; his father Edgar and stepmother Holly; his brothers Terry (Cheryl) of Fort Meyers, Florida and Bill (Joy) of San Diego, California; his sisters Cathy (Ken) Johnson of Surprise, Arizona and Peggy Baillie, also of Arizona; his sister-in-law Margaret Haak of Cary, Illinois; Katherine Haak of San Diego, California; and a brother-in-law Richard Haak of San Diego; many nieces; nephews; and dear friends. A celebration of Bruce's life is being planned for the spring in Illinois.
