Cark R. Ginter Obituary
CARL R. GINTER 1919- 2012 Memorial services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at 2:30 P M. after which he will be placed in the new columbarium at 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Following there will be a reception at the Riverside Elks Lodge, 6166 Brockton Ave. at 4:00pm. Carl was born on August 29, 1919 at Cranston, Rhode Iland to Roy and Kathryn Ginter. They soon moved to Colo, Iowa where he and his younger brother Raymond lived until they joined the Navy after graduating high school. Carl spent most of his duties as a Gunners Mate 1st Class fighting in many sea battles of W.W.II. After leaving the Navy in 1947, he soon went to work for Lockheed Aircraft where he worked his way up to Industrial Relations Manager. This led to many assignments around the world. After retirement he loved to fish and was active with his treasure hunting and was a life member of the Elks Lodge. Carl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret; her brother Donald Erickson of Riverside; cousin David Decker of Riverside, CA; nephews David Lindquist of Barstow and Carl Erickson of San Antonio Texas; nieces Susan Ruud of Palm Springs, Jane Brady of Parker Co. and many grand nieces and nephews. Carl had many close friends from all his travels. He will be missed by many. Hope you can join us to celebrate his life.
