Carole Hartley Obituary
CAROLE HARTLEY Age 90, daughter of Harold and Marguerite Worsley, passed away Dec. 25, 2012 in Gardnerville, Nevada. Carole was born in El Centro, California on June 15, 1922, moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon where she was raised and went to school before settling in Beaumont in 1939. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1940. She married and raised 4 children before moving to Livermore, CA where she secured a job as a technical illustrator at Lawrence Livermore Lab. After retiring, she returned to Beaumont where she was a founding member of the Pass Patchers Quilt Guild. Throughout her life she enjoyed doll making, cooking, the Napa Valley Wine Train, quilting, music, and art. She was also a member of the Livermore Woodworkers Association as well as the Livermore Art Association for many years. After her mother passed she moved to Gardnerville, NV to live near her daughters. Carole is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Clark of Yucaipa, CA. and Peggy Warren of Gardnerville, NV, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a brother, Wilfred (Bill) Worsley and family of Banning, and a sister, Vivian Roppelt and family of Beaumont, CA. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Kathy Spears and Mary Anna Spears. The Rosary will be recited at the Weaver Chapel on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Beaumont at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Mountan View Cemetery.
