CATHERINE DENISE MURDOCK (Denise) Age 55, of Menifee, CA, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at the Loma Linda Hospital in Murrieta, CA, from respiratory failure caused by Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension/systemic scleroderma, and infection. Denise was born on July 13, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona, to Prescott (Scott) and Helen Benson. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth (Ken) Murdock; her daughter, Janea Hope; and her son, Prescott Kyle. Denise cherished her two "miracles," adopted at birth, and was a devoted mother. Denise was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, and survived by her father, Scott, of Phoenix, Arizona, and her sister, Debbie McKillip, of Overgaard, Arizona. Denise loved her family and friends deeply. She was sincere, generous, and caring. Her Christian faith was lived out in her home, her church, and her workplace. After completing a BA in Social Work at Pacific Christian College in Fullerton, CA, Denise earned a Masters Degree/LCSW from USC, then served as a hospital social worker for 30 years, prior to the onset of illness. A memorial service will be held at the Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Road., Canyon Lake, CA. 92587 on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to follow, and a viewing to precede, beginning at 10:00 AM. Flowers may be sent to the Miller-Jones Mortuary/Sun City, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, CA, 92586, for delivery to the church.
