CHARLENE FRANCIS AMENDE Charlene was born on June 4th, 1948 in Alhambra, CA. Charlene was raised by her loving father, Charles. She had fond memories of the fishing trips her father took her on as a child. Charlene loved the mountains, Good N Plenty candies, and Jesus Christ. Charlene loved to laugh and was characterized as having a straight to the point personality. Charlene had a loving and caring nature. She was a Guardian-Angel-on-Earth to those around her. After graduating West Covina High School, Charlene continued to express her loving and caring nature by working as a Respiratory Therapist at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. Charlene met Gerald and they married six years later. After beginning a family, Charlene left the professional world to dedicate her life to raising her two children. Charlene continued her legacy of love and care by working in various ministries in her church. Charlene's ministries included volunteering at her church, feeding the homeless and mission trips to Mexico. As Charlene's children grew older, she went back to school to become a Registered Nurse. Charlene continued her loving and caring legacy by working as an Emergency Room Nurse at Corona Regional Hospital. She later worked as a Hospice Nurse for Visiting Nurses of America. Charlene continued her volunteer work with Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) by supporting those who are emotionally distressed during crisis situations. Charlene's love and care reached to those around her. Over her life, Charlene developed many lifelong friendships. Charlene peacefully passed on November 28, 2012 and now stands with our Creator as she continues to watch over us with love and care. Charlene's legacy continues with her husband of 41 years, Gerald, as well as her children, Brian and Amy. Charlene will be deeply missed by those she left behind. Charlene's Memorial Service will be held on December 10, 2012 @ 6:00pm. The service will be at Calvary Chapel Corona. (951) 278-0600.
