Charles Drew Noble Obituary
CHARLES DREW NOBLE, 77, passed away on October 19, 2015 at his home in Riverside, CA. Chuck, as he was known, was born on March 9, 1938 in Durham, NC to Joel and Lena Noble; he was the oldest of two children. After living in Richmond, VA, the family moved to Seal Beach, CA in 1952, and then settled in Westminster. Chuck attended Huntington Beach High School and Orange Coast College. From a very early age, he was drawn to all things mechanical; he had an engineering mind and an inventor's imagination. In 1959, Chuck's beloved daughter Charlotte was born. In 1976, Chuck moved to Mockingbird Canyon in Riverside. In 1980, he married Kelly, and gained two stepchildren. Those were very happy years in the canyon full of good friends, a menagerie of animals, and lots of building (he was an amazing woodworker). A sheet metal union worker, Chuck spent his career in the heating and air conditioning business, many years with Southland Industries. As the times changed, Chuck gained energy management expertise and traveled around the country as a consultant. Over the last two years, he enjoyed raising heritage breed chickens. In his last years, Chuck endured a litany of health challenges and most days, persevered with a Herculean strength. He will be remembered as a kind and exceedingly generous man. Chuck is survived by his wife, Kelly; daughter, Charlotte Martin of Portland; stepchildren, Kate and Marc Anger of Riverside; brother Tom Noble of Huntington Beach; 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
