Charles Francis Staley Obituary

Charles "Chuck" Staley, age 88, of Riverside, CA, passed away in the presence of his loving family on Oct. 18, 2017. Charles was born in Ute, Iowa Jan 3, 1929. Charles was a life time resident of Riverside CA.
Charles enlisted in the United States Air Force at a young age and became a pilot and achieved the rank of Major. Chuck was awarded many honors including the Distinguished Flying Cross. It was during that time he met his loving wife "Mickey" Staley at Arthur Murray Dance Studios, they married Feb. 6, 1956 and they soon started a family.
Charles passion was that he loved his family. Being a devoted father and husband he took great pride in his grandkids. He would support their cheer, football, band, boy scouts, wrestling, basketball, and "soccer" (didn't know the rules) but was excited to see them compete, win, and have fun.
Those who knew and adored my Dad would tell you he was a very kind hearted man that filled a room with his joy and would do anything for anyone. It was easy for him because he was the original "Good Guy".
Charles wife Mickey Staley, son Bob Coen and granddaughter Megan Walter preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by his remaining family Kathryn Walter, Dave Lillie, Scott Staley, Pam Titzel, Paul Staley, Mike Staley and his grandkids Christina Coen, Summer and Marisa Staley, Justin Titzel, Charles F (his name sake), Riley, Kenden and Aalyia Staley, Dallin Staley, his great grandkids and many other relatives. #familiesareforever
A celebration of Chuck's Life will begin Friday, Oct. 27th @ 10:00 am at the Riverside National Cemetery. Afterwards there will be an open house at his residence at 12:00pm.
