Charles Perry "Charlie" Miller Obituary
CHARLES PERRY "CHARLIE" MILLER returned to his heavenly home on Easter Sunday, March 27. He left this world holding the hand of his wife of 41 years, the love of his life Sharon Parks Miller. Charlie was born on August 19, 1930 in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, one of eight children born to Frank and Elsie Miller. Charlie left home at the age of fourteen, and hired on as a farm hand. He assured the farmer that he could drive a tractor even though he had never seen one before. The farmer was very understanding when Charlie had a head on collision with another tractor that first day, and he stayed on that farm for several years. Upon leaving the farm Charlie decided to get into the oil business. He built a 20 ft. trailer in his garage, not realizing that he would have to take it apart to get it out of that garage before he could drive it to the oil fields, where he drilled wells for several years. Charlie moved to the United States in 1959. In 1975 Charlie married his best friend, Sharon. In 1976 they moved to Temecula. Together they owned and operated a heavy equipment sales company and later a Temecula storage facility. Charlie and his wife spent the last 25 years or so traveling the world but mostly in the states and Canada in their motorhome making friends all over the country. Charlie was known for his bright smile and mischievous sense of humor. Until the end of his life he entertained everyone around him with his jokes and songs. He also dearly loved his family and enjoyed every moment he was around them. Children especially loved Charlie. He always had a joke or song to make them smile. Charlie is survived by his wife, Sharon; brother Fred (Alice) Miller; sister Joyce Storey; his children Roger Miller, Dean (Janis) Miller, Cherilyn (Ken) Liles, Terri (Ray) Herndon, Malinda (Jim) Margiotta,Gail (Rick) Richardson; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and two on the way. He was preceded in death by his son, Brad. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Sunday, April 3 with a tribute to Charlie at 7 PM. at the England Family Mortuary, 27135 Madison Ave, Temecula. Funeral services will be Monday, April 4, 11:30, at The Rock Church, 38710 Sky Canyon Dr, Murietta. Burial rites will follow the service at the Temecula Public Cemetery.
