Christopher Joseph Lawrence Obituary
CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH LAWRENCE October 12, 1956 to November 28, 2014 Murrieta, California At home and surrounded by his wife, children and siblings, Christopher lost his three and half year battle with cancer. Born in Spokane, Washington, Chris was the eldest of six children born to Raymond and Phyllis Lawrence. Chris grew up in Escondido, California, and in 1986, he literally married the girl next door, Michele. Their 28 year union produced two wonderful children, Drew 23 and Adele 20. In 1991, Chris and Michele became members of the Murrieta community and built a lovely home in La Cresta where they raised their children. Christopher earned double bachelor degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of California, Pomona. In 1983, Chris completed an MBA from San Diego State University. Before his death, Chris worked for Progressive Medical International, in Vista, CA, where he was the Vice President of Operations. Before that, Chris was an independent real estate appraiser. Chris loved his family and life. Even after the terminal diagnosis, Chris remained active and positive. Eternally optimist, when asked "how are you doing" He would always reply. "Everything is Fine". Chris made a conscious decision to enjoy his last years of his life. Chris and Michele spent a month in Africa, traveled to the Zanzibar, UAE, Seychelles, NYC, Australia, and Bali. He enjoyed multiple family house boat trips to Lake Powel, motorcycle rides with his brothers and most recently a road trip to Washington State for a family reunion. Chris is survived by his brothers, Marc, Anthony, Adrian and his favorite and only sister Monica. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Phyllis Lawrence and his brother Jonathan. Everyone is invited to attend a celebration of Christopher's life on December 18, 2014 at Saint Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta which is located at 37200 Whitewood Road. A rosary will be said at 9:30 am with a funeral mass at 10:00. There will be a reception following the service from 11am to 1pm at the parish hall located on the church grounds. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The City of Hope or Catholic Relief Services.
