Christopher Knight Freed Obituary
CHRISTOPHER KNIGHT FREED "CHRIS" Chris celebrated his first birthday in heaven on the evening of December 20th, 2013. His battle with illness was ceased and he got what he considered to be a medal of honor, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His verses were the writings of the apostle Paul Philippians 1:20-21 "according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain". He was born in Santa Monica, Ca. February 5, 1944 and attended schools in the area of Palos Verdes and Santa Monica. He joined the Air Force in 1962 and became an engine mechanic for the various planes in use at that time. He lost 80% of his hearing due to the extreme noise factor of the engines. He married Janet Norr and they gave birth to and raised 5 children, Matthew, Mark, Michael, Kirsten and Karen. They presented him with 5 grandchildren, Garren, Jillian, Cameron, Janie and Megan. He is survived by all the children and grandchildren. He served as a Pastor at an AG church in Hemet Calif., in his younger years. He became a commercial glazier and retired with a pension after many years. He then tried and succeeded at auto sales in the San Diego County area and was top salesperson many times. He sold autos like he delivered the Gospel, without any restraints. Janet, his exceptional wife of 39 years passed away in 2004. He then met and married Elaine Swatkowski in 2005. She brought into the picture her 4 children, Randy, Larry, Catherine and Carol. They in turn brought along spouses, many grandchildren and also great grandchildren. Both Chris and Elaine love all of the families as if they were their own together. He stated many times that he was blessed with having two wonderful wives and families. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, January 11th, 2014 at Bel Air Mobile Estates (Clubhouse) 27150 Shadel Rd. Menifee, Ca. 92586. You may contact the family at [email protected]
