Clelia Catherine Miller Obituary
CLELIA CATHERINE MILLER, born to Effie Mary and Benjamin Franklin Cornelius on June 23, 1931 at 2213 18th Street in Texarkana, TX and passed away on November 1, 2015 in Pomona, CA. She married her childhood sweetheart Ruby Lee Miller in 1945. Together they brought six children into the world. Ferril D., Lovella A., Ruby L. Jr., Reginald K., Debra D., and Stacy D. She was also the proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and counting, all of whom have been touched by her abiding faith and love for long beyond her passing. As a life long member of The Church of the Living God, she served the Lord in many capacities, including but not only as a Sunday School teacher and a Choir member. She was the editor of the Church District newsletter, a missionary for community outreach, President of the Mission Dept., an integral member of the community weekly food drive and she was the first Woman to be a member of the Trustee Board. She began her career with the US Government as a maid on March Air Force Base in the Visiting Officers Quarters and worked her way up the ladder until she was the lead secretary for the Fire Chief on the base. She retired after 20 years of service. She always considered her work with her Church as her first priority. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 17, 2015 in Akes Family's "Chapel of the Chimes" at 10:30 a.m. Private family inurnment in Riverside National Cemetery.
