Corinne George Obituary
Corinne Delours George was born in Santa Ana, California on March 1, 1939 and passed away on September 15, 2017 after battling with Dementia for almost 3 years. She is survived by her four children Jeff, Julie Scranton (spouse Jim), Robert, & John; 8 grandchildren- Brandon, Christopher, Bruce, Tommy, Warren, Nick, Kylie and Kammie; and 8 great-grandchildren and her dog, Honey.
Corinne grew up in Murrieta, California as an only child to parents, Isum and Freeda Dyess. She started working at Elsinore High School when it opened in 1967 and she retired as the bookkeeper in 2001. Everyone knew "Mrs. George". Her hobbies included reading, knitting, sewing, and gardening. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting at Carlsbad beach all day with a good book and a Pepsi. She loved being outdoors. She was an avid animal lover and rescued so many dogs in her lifetime. She loved her Great Danes (more than one) and raised cockatiels and lovebirds, just for the fun of it. She had ferrets, chickens, ducks and turtles. Her memory was remarkable. She knew every friend's birthday and everyone close to her received a handmade or homemade gift. Her passion for her family was unending. More than anything, Corinne loved spending time with her grandchildren traveling wherever they wanted to go, which included Wyoming, Mt. Rushmore, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. She was at every family function and every sporting event to cheer them on. Her family and friends will miss her strong-willed spirit and compassionate heart. A Celebration of her Life was on October 1 in Lake Elsinore. EVANS BROWN MORTUARY (951) 679-1114
