D. Arthur (Art) Boster Obituary
D. ARTHUR (ART) BOSTER passed away September 3, 2016, at the age of 73. He proudly served the Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut, California, from 1972 until his retirement in 2001. Prior to employment at Mt. SAC, he was a high school agriculture instructor in Fullerton. After his retirement, he was an adjunct professor at Cal Poly Pomona and a substitute teacher at Norco and Chino High Schools. Art was actively involved with FFA and 4-H students across southern California. In 2000, he was honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the Future Farmers of America. Art raised sheep for 68 years and was an avid supporter of the sheep industry both in and out of the show ring. He raised Suffolks, Rambouillets, and, currently, both white and natural colored Cotswolds. He continually made strides in improvements of the Cotswold breed. At the time of his passing, Art was the President of the National Cotswold Breeders Association. He will be missed by many people including his family, friends, teachers, FFA advisors, and FFA and 4-H youth and families throughout California. In lieu of flowers and cards, please donate to the California FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 186, Galt, CA 95632.
