DAISY IRENE SKINNER August 2, 1918 April 4, 2015 Born Daisy Irene Jameson in Sedan, New Mexico, Daisy passed away at the age of 96 in Tualatin, Oregon following a prolonged fight with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. A long-time resident of Riverside, CA, Daisy arrived in La Sierra with her family, the Walter Jameson's, in 1926 from Jaroso, Colorado and who ultimately settled in Arlington. Following graduation from Riverside Polytechnic High School and the Riverside School of Cosmetology in 1936 she married high school sweetheart Ogden (Ralph) Butcher. Following Ogden's untimely death, she married Harold Giffin (divorced and deceased) in 1947 and who owned and operated Giffin's restaurant and tavern for many years in Riverside. In 1969 she married Robert Skinner (deceased). Robert was a life-long resident of Riverside who owned and operated Home Furniture. Both were avid travelers and golfers and long-time members of the Riverside Optimist Club. She is survived by sons Bill Butcher (Tigard, OR) and Robert Giffin (Oceanside); brothers Donald and Walter (Rod) Jameson (Riverside); daughter-in-law Shirley Byrd (La Quinta); grandchildren Jennifer O'Donnell, Denise Balzer, Ross, Scott and Eric Kline; and great grandchildren John and Kathryn O'Donnell, Benjamin and Andrew Balzer, Matt, Tori, and Kassidy Kline. All will greatly miss their "G.G." She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents Mary and Walter Jameson and by siblings Eula, Barbara and Lester and daughter Sandra Giffin Newman.
