Daniel Warner Randall Obituary
DANIEL WARNER RANDALL An honorable and generous man, Dan Randall passed away December 26, 2016 after a year-long battle with a rare, aggressive cancer. A lifelong resident of Riverside, CA, Dan was born December 18, 1943 to parents Eugene and Viva Randall. He graduated from Riverside Poly High School, earned an Associate's Degree from Riverside Community College and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves prior to working for the Riverside Public Utilities Water Department for 35 years. Dan was a longtime member and elder of Riverside First Christian Church where, at age 9, he participated in the groundbreaking ceremony at its current location. Later in life, he became an active member of First Christian Church Orange. Music was always a huge part of his life and he lent his baritone talents to both church choirs as well as Riverside Master Chorale. A highlight of his life was singing "The Lord's Prayer" during his youngest son's wedding. Dan's passions included camping with his "Camping Cronies," fishing, HAM radio operating, collecting antiques and spending time with his family. Dan embodied the term compassionate and his life was an exercise in service to others. He taught us all the art of giving. Dan is survived by his brother, Larry and his wife Sally; his three sons, Scott, Greg and his wife Toni, and Todd and his wife Tiffany. He is also survived by his former wife, Charlotte Dye, and six grandchildren: Daniel, Donovan, Dillon, Tyler, Trey and Grace. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at First Christian Church Orange, 1130 E. Walnut Ave., Orange. All who wish to attend are welcome. A brief reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation in Dan's name be made to one of his favorite charities, .
