David Alan "DZ Dave" Zesk Obituary
DAVID ALAN ZESK, "DZ Dave" Loving husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather, left this earth tragically on Thursday, November 12, 2015. He leaves behind his adoring wife Kimberly Zesk; his amazing mother Betty Zesk; his brothers Peter and Michael Zesk; his sisters Cindy Shackelford, Melanie Bahney and Marnie Young Cashmore; his daughters Jennifer and Ashley Zesk; his grandsons Jaq and Jace Bourque; his granddaughter Zoey Cowell; his nephew Mikey Zesk, as well as 8 other nieces and nephews, and his step-sons Jason and Tom Loper. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut on October 28, 1952, where he spent the first 10 years of his life. His family moved to Riverside, California, where he graduated from Norte Vista High School, Class of 1970. Dave was so loved and adored by everyone; he was the type of guy who everybody fell in love with on their first encounter. Dave was a licensed General Contractor and owner of D.Z. Construction, a family run business in Corona, and provided services to many residents - who also became extended family - in Riverside for over 35 years. He was as passionate about life as he was about his work. His work ethic and building skills were like the man he was - stellar. He was always happy, positive, kind, selfless, and genuine. He loved music, was a skilled musician, and singer/songwriter. He loved to play his Ovation guitar, and was a member of the Corona based classic rock band "Legacy," where he played the bass/rhythm guitar. One of his favorite songs that everyone loved when he played and sang was "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash. His favorite band of all time was The Beatles. He also loved the music of Ricky Nelson and Brad Paisley. He was deeply loved by every person who ever came to know him. Sadly, he is gone, but he will never, ever, be forgotten. We will miss him terribly. We love you Dave, and thank you, for the memories, and your love, forever.
