David Wayne Fosgett Obituary
DAVID WAYNE FOSGETT, 69, a resident of Riverside, CA, lost his battle with cancer on September 8, 2015. Dave was born on December 19, 1945 in Owosso, Michigan to Wayne and Rachael Fosgett. Dave attended school in Oswego, Illinois and Harrison, Michigan. At Central Michigan University he earned his master's degree in education. Dave taught school in St. John's, Michigan for two years and worked twenty eight years in management for Fleetwood Enterprises. Dave's hobbies were traveling, camping, fly fishing, woodworking, spending time with his family, attending and watching sports. His love for God was evident in his forty years of leadership as elder, committee member, and member of the alter guild at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Dave was honored on January 1, 2015 to ride in the Pasadena Rose Parade Lutheran Hour Float dressed as a wise man. He was a member of the Lutheran Hour Float committee for eight years. Dave was heavily involved in his sons' soccer playing years. He produced and printed a program for the Poly High School soccer program. He coached baseball and soccer teams for his sons. Dave loved being involved in his sons' and grandsons' activities. Dave is survived by Joy, his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years; two sons Keith (Robyn) of Carlsbad, CA and Gregg (Shannon) of Murrieta, CA; four grandsons Jake, Nathan, Luke and Daniel. Dave is also survived by two sisters Elaine Hettrich and Audrey Fechner. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Rachel Fosgett, and sister Eleanor Warren. Dave's memorial will be held on September 19th at 11:00am. A lunch following the services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5545 Alessandro Blvd., Riverside, CA 92506. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church and school, Immanuel Lutheran Endowment College Scholarship Fund, or the Lutheran Hour Float.
