Dean Weston Berger Obituary
DEAN WESTON BERGER, age 94, was born on January 5, 1921 in Lexington, Nebraska and died peacefully in his home in Corona, Calif. on April 30, 2015, joining his loving wife, Midge in heaven. Dean grew up as a young boy on the Berger family homestead in Wyoming and later moved to Calif. He graduated from Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon, received his Masters degree in history from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and was ordained as a Baptist minister. He and Midge were married for 69 years and pastored numerous churches in Calif. Later, he earned his Ph.D in philosophy from Pacific States University, given in London, England. In retirement, Dean painted beautiful seascapes in oil and won numerous awards for his work and painted the mission scenes in Knott's Berry Farm for Walter Knott. He is survived by his sons Paul (Kathy) of Sonora, CA, Stephen (Laura) of Corona, CA; daughters, Betty Snipes of Corona, CA and Janet Berner (David) of Corona, CA; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. A celebration of Dean's life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00am at Crossroads Christian Church, Corona, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas Miller Mortuary.
