Delia Mae Deneen Obituary
DELIA MAE DENEEN January 7, 1919 - January 27, 2014 Delia Mae DeNeen died on January 27, 2014. Delia moved to California in 1931 when her half-brother Charlie drove her, her brother Jack, and her mother in a Model T Ford from Oklahoma to California. She lived in Corona and Riverside most of her 95 years. Delia worked for the Pacific Telephone Company and then in civil service for more than thirty years before retiring. Delia loved her family and friends and had an active life that included camping, fishing, baseball (Go Cubbies!), gardening, reading, cooking, crocheting, and letter writing. She was generous and caring and touched everyone who knew her. Delia lived her 95 years to the fullest and will be greatly missed by family and her many friends. She is survived by: daughters, Joyce (Dave) De Witt, Jean (Don) Piazza; grandchildren David (Sue Conrad) De Witt, Mark (Andrea Solis) De Witt, Susan (Lynn Roberts) De Witt, Shelly (David) Worscheck, Steve (Shelley) Piazza, Caren (Martin) Johnson; and great grandchildren Rachel, Sarah, Jonathan, and Jeanette Worscheck, Tessa, Dante, and Vincent Piazza, and Calli and Andrew Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack D. Thomas, her granddaughter, Sharon De Witt, and her great grandson Gino Piazza. Funeral services with be held graveside at Evergreen Memorial Park, 4414 14th Street, in Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on February 1, 2014.
